When you first found out you were pregnant, you were over the moon about it. You got to shop for teeny, tiny clothes and shoes, plus, you got catered to by all your friends and family!

In theory, your pregnancy is supposed to be one of the best moments of your life, but then again, it’s not so pleasant for some soon-to-be mommies. Yes, you enjoyed the whimsical, little girl diaper cakes at your baby shower, but not the nausea, swollen ankles, and weight gain associated with pregnancy. Those aspects were exhausting and painful at times, but after your bundle of joy entered the world, it made everything worthwhile.

Now that your baby has arrived, and you’ve gotten adjusted to this major life change, the time has come to bring your sexy back! Just because you’ve had a baby, that doesn’t mean you can’t go back to being your sexy self again, it just takes time, patience, and the right attitude. If you’ve just had a bundle of joy, and are ready to bring your sexy back, check out these helpful tips on how to do just that.

Have a Positive and Determined Mindset

In order to accomplish any goal, you have to have the right mindset to do it. Having that right mindset also leads to giving yourself realistic goals…this transformation isn’t going to happen overnight. So have a positive attitude that you can do it, the determination that you will do it, and the realization that it will happen with time.

Having a baby puts your body through a tremendous amount of stress, and you have to give your body time to heal. Now, once your body has had time to heal, that’s when you can kick that determination into gear. Every woman experiences baby weight after birth, and that’s okay.

Exercising is a good habit to pick up in general, and it is essential for losing all that baby weight. Cardio is where you want to start. You can get your cardio in at a gym by hopping on an elliptical machine or treadmill. If you’re not able to go to the gym, then you can walk or jog in the park, or around your neighborhood. The main goal is to do exercises that will get your heart rate up, and burn off excess fat.

Balanced Diet

Now that you’ve had your little one, you no longer have to worry about making sure you’re eating enough for two anymore. Now you’re eating for yourself, so the overeating must come to an end.

Incorporate lots of vegetables into your meals, and drink lots of water. The water will allow you to flush out wastes in your body, plus it will give your skin a magnificent glow! Now, you don’t necessarily have to give up the foods you enjoy, and you definitely don’t need to starve yourself, but eating in moderation, and with the appropriately sized portions, is key.

Treat Yourself

You’ve just had a baby, you’ve been working out and eating right…why not treat yourself? You deserve it!! With all these victories you’ve achieved, the time has come for you to go out and really bring your sexy back with a new outfit.

You might opt for an outfit that accentuates your legs, or showcases your post-baby waistline, but whichever one you choose, your confidence is the main thing that should be showcased. One area that lots of people don’t think about as being sexy is their back; not necessarily their backside, but your actual back.

There are dresses and tops that display your back beautifully, all while giving a little hint of sexy and class. You will be able to step out in complete confidence rocking an outfit that focuses on that area of your body.

It’s definitely an area that will turn heads and get you a multitude of compliments. When working out after a baby, most will want to show off their flat stomachs, but your back can show your results every bit as well as your stomach. So when you decide to treat yourself, try something different, and show your back a little attention.
