1. Lemon-Rose Water Foot Mask

This foot mask is a sure shot treatment for cracked heels. Mix raw salt, glycerin lemon juice and rose water in lukewarm water and then soak your feet in this water for about 15 -20 minutes. This will loos. en off the dead skin of your heels which can be easily scrubbed off later with a pumice stone or a foot scrubber. At night apply a thick paste of 1 tsp of glycerin, tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp of rose water, on your cracked heels. Wear socks and go to sleep. Wash with clean water in the next morning. Follow the regime for few days to get rid of cracked heels.

2. Massage of Mashed Fruits

Mash a ripe banana and add a coconut flesh in a fine paste and massage for 5 minutes. Leave for 12-15 minutes and then wash off. The vitamins and minerals present in these fruits will nourish your feet and help you keep your heels smooth and soft.  Ripe papaya can also be added to this paste.

3. Oil Massage To Prevent Cracked Heels

Another effective remedy for cracked heels is the age old oil massage. You may massage our feet and heels with sesame oil, any hydrogenated vegetable oil or coconut oil in the night and wear socks before going to bed. Wash off in the morning.  Repeat this for 4-5 times a week and you will be surprised to see the amazing results.

4. Mustard Oil and Wax

If your heels are not responding positively to any treatment, resort to wax therapy. Melt paraffin wax or your regular candle after removing its thread.  Add mustard oil in melted wax and make a paste. Apply this paste on cracked heels in night before you retire to bed and remember to wear socks. Do it for three or four times a week to get best results.

5. Exfoliate your Feet

If your heels are dry then exfoliate them regularly and use mild cosmetics. Make a natural exfoliating scrub with honey, rice flour, vinegar and cider. Add few drops of almond oil or olive oil. First soak your feet in lukewarm water for 10 minutes and then massage the exfoliating paste on your feet and heels to keep further cracking at bay.

6. Keep Feet Clean

It is extremely important to keep your feet clean and dry. Feet are the most neglected part of your body so take out some time and take care of them. Apply a good foot care cream and massage well followed by a foot mask to keep cracked heels at bay.

7. Massage Mustard Oil

Mix water and mustard oil in equal proportions and massage it on your feet especially on the heels for at least 12-15 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water and apply a good foot cream. This will soften the skin and will heal the cracked heel.

8. Massage with Milk Cream

Milk cream is enriched with natural goodness of vitamin E and other vital ingredients and is good to keep the skin of your dry feet moist and well hydrated. Massage milk cream on your feet for 10 minutes daily and wipe with a clean and moist cloth. It is a great way to keep your heels healthy and won’t let cracked heels problem appearing again.

9. Apply Vaseline

Vaseline (petroleum jelly) is still good to heal the cracked heels. Before going to bed apply Vaseline on the cracked heels daily and rub it gently. In the morning wash with lukewarm water. This is an effective tip for controlling cracked heels.

10. Onion Oil Massage

Massage onion oil on your heels as it has some great healing properties and is known to benefit the heels.
